Pakistan condemns Ramadan attacks

Protesters July 28 rallied in Peshawar, Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Quetta, and Parachinar trade centres and businesses closed for three days as locals mourned the tragedy.
The attack consisted of two blasts. A bomb attached to a motorcycle went off in the Parachinar Bazaar, then another detonated a few hundred metres away near a bus stand on School Road.
Ansar-ul-Mujahideen – a little-known Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)-affiliated militant organisation – claimed responsibility, according to the group's spokesman, Abu Baseer.

Reports of 60 deaths were on the low side, local Parachinar political leader Riaz Ali Turi said. At least 73 people were killed, he said.

The government needs to take immediate and adequate measures to protect the innocent, Anwar said while condemning the killings.
"Those carrying out the attacks will never succeed in their nefarious designs," he said. "They will be defeated."

Afghan President Hamid Karzai, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Pakistani Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, KP Governor Engineer Shaukatullah Khan and KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak strongly condemned bombings.
"The terrorists are using every tactic for the killing of the innocent people, especially in tribal areas. However, the government will eliminate them soon," Shaukatullah said.
